CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the result secured by Nepali Congress (NC) in the second phase local level elections has left him stunned. “I am quite surprised by how the NC emerged victorious in many places at a time when the party has become so unpopular,” said Chairman Oli, talking to media persons in Biratnagar on Saturday morning. The former prime minister made it clear that the NC won many seats in the second phase of local polls because of his party’s failure to convince the people.He claimed that his party would win more than 50 percent seats in the third phase local polls scheduled for September 18.
